Dear Owners of Bear Lake Reserve:

Wick Ashburn
Wick Ashburn

What a season! Bear Lake has been bustling with activity this summer and it is continuing into the fall. There have been 18 closings so far this year adding many new members to our Bear Lake family. We have really ramped up our marketing efforts by completely redesigning our website, which is producing a lot of prospects inquiring about Bear Lake Reserve. We have also teamed up with other websites like Private Mountain Communities and Private Communities. These websites allow buyers to go and find the right resort that matches all of their needs, and this helps get us solid leads. We have several leads that have turned into sales from these online advertising methods.

You may have also noticed our Facebook and Twitter and Blog buzzing with information. Make sure to “like us”, “follow”, or sign up for updates on these. They are full of information about activities at Bear Lake and in the surrounding areas.

Our Sales Team has held several events through the season including Owners’ Socials and an Open House day for area brokers. The Owners’ Socials included a Memorial Day event at the Greeter’s Cottage with about 50 Owners attending; a joint event with the Golf Club for the Owners to have them meet our PGA Golf Pro, Dick Howard and our Golf Course Superintendent, Joey Laughridge. We also hosted a cook out over Labor Day weekend with about 75 Owners in attendance. These have been a great way for our Owners to get to see and meet new residents and see old friends. Our Open House for area brokers was a success as well. It was a great chance for area agents to get to experience Bear Lake so they can help sell it to their customers.

We are continuing to get walk-ins and calls each week at our Sales Office, many of which are scheduling tours or stays in our Experience Packages, and we are gearing up for more. The leaf season has historically been a very busy time of year with a lot of traffic. The leaves are already changing and it’s shaping up to be a beautiful peak. Due to the extreme diversity in our forests, Western North Carolina has one of the most unique and longest leaf seasons. Come see for yourself and stop by for a fireside visit at the Greeter’s Cottage.

Best Wishes,

Wick
